Project Runway 2/1 "Garden Party"

Just watched this last night.

I agreed with the judges - I thought Andrae's dress really did look like a doormat, and was reason for him to go.

I was also dumbfounded the judges liked Chloe's dress, which would have been good if she had had the time, but turned out really inconsistently arranged. Maybe they chose to ignore the hurried construction.

Daniel V's outfit again was the deserved winner. Up until last week, I thought Nick would be the front runner, but it's pretty clear now that Daniel V. has become the odds-on favorite to win the entire competition. Nick seems to have nose-dived after losing his favorite model, Tarah.

I think the final three will boil down to Daniel V., Nick and Santino. I just don't think Kara and Chloe really have what it takes for the final three.

But I thought the scene with Nick and Andrae on the podium, both facing elimination, was poignant. Both were sad because they knew one of them was going to go. It looks like there have been some real friendships made over the course of the show.

My guess for the final three would be Santino, Daniel, and Chloe. Kara really redeemed herself this week. Not only did her dress look great, she had time to help Chloe with her extremely ambitious design.

"Where's Andrae?"

They did foreshadow a bit with his assured, "I am definitely not going home this week." Again, loved the Santino doing Tim bit, I wish he could have worked in a made up dialogue including an Andrae impression (with tears).

It does look like Daniel will make it all the way, good for him. I thought that Kara would be the one going this week, I was sad to see Andrae go because his is such a character.

Someone needed to design a dress for Heidi this week, she looked like a piece of merengue.

I think Chloe pulled hers off by virtue of the headdress. It pulled the attention away from the dress, which looked fine to me, and made it look like an ensemble. I liked both Daniel's and Kara's. I was kind of perplexed with this challenge, as actual flower petals bruise so easily and then become discolored.

Santino is an a$$, they keep saying he has talent, but his designs are waaaay out there. Do love his impersonations of Tim, however.

This was a dumb challenge. I liked Chloe's dress best. I think that was the first dress of hers I've liked.

I thought Daniel's dress last week, that tulip looking thing, was hideous. He does seem the favorite to win though. Santino cracks me up, but his ego is bigger than his skill, I think.

I have a huge crush on Nick, which is why I was hoping he would win.....but alas, it looks like it's going to be Daniel V. in the end.

I just started watching this last week and boy, am I glad I did! Tivo caught a marathon and I've watched them all-what a FABULOUS show! For some reason, I never watched before because I thought it was like America's Next Top Model-something that doesn't interest me. This is phenomenal. I'm ashamed, because, thinking back I've read blurbs about it in Entertainment Weekly, but not connected the two. I've never started watching so many shows in mid to late season as this year. God bless you, Tivo!

And I've always had a huge crush on Andy Samberg too, hee hee...But yes, I do see the resemblance.

I love Daniel's stuff, he's incredibly talented. I like Chloe's dress too and didn't see any problems with it even though they talked about how it wasn't done. imho, on the runway, you could not tell! BUT, Daniel's looked completely undone to me! The blue flowers on the top did not completely cover the white material underneath and did not do so in any particular pattern. And the straps looked off too.

Also, I don't blame Daniel for sticking with the model who's been so good to him, but Tarah is by far the best model on the show. It's too bad Nick couldn't take her back!

Poor Andrae, the one time Kara comes up with a killer outfit (and it was) has to be the time his sucks. But of course, we all knew he was going when he foreshadowed himself!
