Long time reader, first time poster. Haven't really seen anything that covers this, so I thought I'd throw out a line..
Is anyone having any luck "hooking in" to TCO for automatic scheduling? I want to be able to have something occasionally submit searches on TCO and "watch" for shows or actors, etc. It's a bit like a wishlist, but obviously off the Tivo box, and with more of a "I'll tell you when it's on, not just record it" slant.
I've had luck with a static list of keywords and faking up HTML forms to feed search terms to TCO, and then as long as I'm logged in, I can view results and schedule recordings. Ideally I'd like to either screenscrape the results or preferrably get some sort of webservice/rss system that would do this for me.
Has anyone been digging into the new "ajax"-like schedules from a technical angle? Not looking for handouts, I'm willing to code this up, but I'm at a bit of a plateau as far as coming up with an efficient, legal way to consume search results. :)
