(Just a little rant that I missed a show I wanted to record. I know this is my fault.)

TiVo suggested the first part of a three part "History Channel in the Classroom" special on Alexander the Great. I gave it two thumbs up hoping that it would be a shortcut to grab the remaining parts.

Well... part two recorded properly. AWESOME. But unfortunately the third part aired at the same time as the newest TiVo promotional/commercial clip. Apparently this takes priority over two thumbs up. I KNOW I should have explicitly recorded the third part if I really wanted it. I'll know better next time.

(Thanks for listening. :p )

Even if there was nothing else to record, you can't depend on thumbs.

So don't! :)

I don't think thumbs have as much weight as they use to anyway. Suggestions seem to rely more on what you watch now. Even so, you should never rely on suggestions.

This could have been avoided if Tivo added a "Create Season Pass" kind of option in their suggestions.

Are you making a joke or have you never tried pressing select or right on a suggestion?

Are you making a joke or have you never tried pressing select or right on a suggestion? It is also possible that Stu_Bee was wishing for the ability to do that from an already recorded suggestion in the Now Playing List, and not just from the suggestions list.

(I know I've seen other people ask for the ability to schedule a season pass directly from a recorded show; especially when the program might not be airing at the moment. Not that the later would apply to this case).
