Anyone interested in a thread about the new Comcast TIVO service?
I was saddened when I had to give up use of my TIVO a few years ago when I went HD with Comcast and had to use their DVR. But, I am back having updated to the new Comcast TIVO service on 26 January.
Though they have a few issues to work out, it is nice to have TIVO back. Anyone have experiences they want to share?
A couple of issues mentioned in postings elsewhere:
1. No Dolby 5.1: A setting turns this on.
2. Slow menu: This is true but Comcast/TIVO promise to improve this with SW updates.
3. During the installation process, many reported failure during downloads to update the box. My update went smoothly the first time.
